Getting ready to shop for fall? Don't forget to give your jewelry box a refresher as well!

Here are 4 of the easiest fall color trends to mix and match with pieces you already have, and accessorize with casual jewelry designs. It's an affordable treat!

      Trend 1: Orange with Black

The designer's take:

When is this not a fall trend? It's Halloween, the leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer. . . it's natural to emulate the world around us in our day-to-day style.

My jewelry take:

It's jewelry to go out and get a pumpkin spice latte too. 'nuff said!

      Trend 2: Pink & Yellow

I actually really like this trend because it seems like one you can pull off using stuff you already have.  Have a salmon pink skirt? Pick up a yellow turtle neck. Have a yellow dress? Partner it with a pink jacket and some darker pink tights. And you'll get longevity from the items you buy, when you use them again next spring and summer

My jewelry take:

Avoid trying to find the perfect pink AND yellow necklace or bracelet. Instead wear individual pieces of pink or yellow, and partner them with the opposing shade in your outfit. You'll get a lot more longevity out of your jewelry that way, when you can use it again and again with different trends.

Try a bold yellow necklace, like my Italian onyx and pearl one, over a pink turtle neck. This would be a really fun trend to layer too. Try a long yellow necklace, like my calcite spheres, with a shorter pink one, like my rose quartz ovals. Remember, I can easily change the length to meet your layering needs.

      Trend 3: Autumnal Hues

The designer's take:

Again, nothing really surprising to see here. Fall colors are pretty much always fall colors. But the good news is, you can find something in the pallet that looks good on any skin tone.

My jewelry take:

I've already seen an uptick in yellows and browns, and increased traffic and favorites of rusts, siennas, and golds. I think the super hot summer has us all craving a little autumn chill.

      Trend 4: Military Greens

The designer's take:

Olive green, hunter green, forest green. Pair them with khaki, brick and chestnut, or wear one solid, monochromatic shade of green.

My jewelry take:

What works on the runway isn't always something you want to copy exactly. To me, the above outfits are a little depressing. But if you add some sparkle or luster, and break up the dark a bit, then rich greens are a classic, and they fit right in this year.

      Trend 5: Navy Menswear

The designer's take:

It's the new suit. Pinstripes make everyone look leaner and taller, and menswear style is sexy on the female form

My jewelry take:

Contrast the masculine with the feminine by adding some lux jewelry. Plus blues are always in style, every year, and every season, so the pieces are timeless.
